It’s Texas Tuesday y’all… and I got a Texas shaped waffle iron for my birthday last year!!! I like waffles but I’m not a huge fan of breakfast food so upon receiving this amazing gift… that I had adamantly “requested”… I started researching different things to cook in a waffle iron. And then I found… brownies
and the search was pretty much over.
This process is super easy. You literally prepare brownie batter like you would for baking, heat up your waffle iron, spray a little non stick and pour some in!
I used 3-4 Tbsp of batter per serving. And cooked them about 2 minutes.
You can clearly use this technique in a regular shaped waffle iron… but who would do that? And why? For picture purposes (wink wink) I added a scoop of Blue Bell Homemade Vanilla, some chocolate syrup and of course a few Texas flag colored sprinkles.
Also… and a big HUGE also… if you like the crispy edges on brownies… this ENTIRE thing is a crispy edge. It is one big crispy brownie. If that doesn’t do it for you, I don’t know what will!
And here is one more picture. You are welcome!
